Partner Joseph Jacquot was re-elected as Chair of the Jacksonville Ethics Commission for 2016. As Chair, Jacquot will continue to assist the Commission in investigating complaints of the city’s ethics code and will provide input on local ethics matters. Previously while serving on the Commission, Jacquot played a role in reestablishing Jacksonville’s inspector general position and actively provided guidance on Florida’s public records and Sunshine Laws.
At Foley, Jacquot represents clients in complex federal and state legal and policy matters. He counsels companies in financial services regulatory matters and in consumer protection enforcement, including the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and any matters involving state Attorneys General. Jacquot also has experience serving as the Deputy Attorney General of Florida and chief of staff of the Attorney General’s office.
