Foley & Lardner LLP received two awards from the Global M&A Network’s 2017 Turnaround Atlas Awards for the firm’s work on executing top mergers-and-acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
First, Foley was named Special Situation M&A Deal of the Year award winner on behalf of Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies, Inc. in its Chapter 11 sale to Douglas Telecommunications. This award recognized a top distressed M&A transaction, in or out of court, that was valued from $5 million to $25 million. Foley served as lead advisor to Quantum Fuel in this deal.
Second, Foley was named Corporate Turnaround of the Year award winner for its work on Cardiac Science Corporate Chapter 11 plan of reorganization and acquisition by Aurora Resurgence, an affiliate of Aurora Capital Group. This award recognizes the top deal in a small mid-market segment valued from $100 million to $250 million. Foley served as co-counsel to the buyer/debtor-in-possession lender along with Latham & Watkins LLP.
In addition, Foley was recognized as a top Restructuring Law Firm of the Year for middle markets.
The winners’ work is identified as “Gold Standard of Performance.” The winners were honored at a gala at the Metropolitan Club in New York City on April 4, 2017.
