04 October 2017
Partner Christopher Swift was interviewed on Fox News about Senate Intelligence Committee leaders’ expected endorsement of a report by American spy agencies concluding that Russia tried to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Swift said the fact that the report drew bipartisan support shows that committee leaders recognize the issue is a national security concern rather than a partisan one and are “putting the interests and security of the United States” ahead of partisanship. He also said that Russia’s attempts to undermine public confidence in our democratic institutions should be viewed as a form of “information warfare” and be responded to as such and “not look at it through a partisan lens.”
