Murray Quoted on Status of JEDI Contract Dispute

Partner Frank Murray was quoted in a Washington Business Journal article, “JEDI cloud contract protest to stretch into 2021,” about a joint status report issued by the Court of Federal Claims in Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) protest of a $10 billion cloud infrastructure contract between the Department of Defense and archrival Microsoft Corp.
Murray said a lot is riding on whether the court grants Amazon’s request to depose President Trump and other Pentagon officials. “If the court grants AWS’s motion for discovery, it would likely either designate in its order granting the motion a specific timeframe for discovery to occur, or require the parties to confer and file another joint status report proposing a schedule for the completion of whatever discovery the court permits to take place,” he said.
