Foley & Lardner sponsored a fundraiser in mid-April for First Tee – Tampa Bay, part of the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA, which provides more than 90,000 children each year with a hands-on, interactive golf experience.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis served as the keynote speaker for the event, a dinner gala and live auction at the Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club that raised $1.3 million for the youth-serving organization.
Besides being part of the Tampa YMCA, First Tee – Tampa Bay also partners with community groups such as the Tampa Sports Authority, the city of Tampa, Hillsborough County Public Schools and various golf facilities to offer year-round programming for kids and teens.
