Milwaukee Street Law Program with BGCA Featured on Local News
Foley & Lardner LLP’s Milwaukee office began its annual Street Law Legal Diversity Pipeline Program last month in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to teach high school students from diverse backgrounds about legal professions.
NBC affiliate WTMJ-4 Milwaukee visited the office to interview Street Law students and program leader and Foley Partner Nick Welle. In the TV segment and corresponding article, “Street Law program hopes to increase diversity in legal professions,” Welle describes the program as a mini law school and says, “It’s a really good opportunity to meet those students, who are students that we might not otherwise meet, and for those students to get to know us and encourage them to pursue a career in the law.”
The interview also includes perspectives from current and past program participants.
