Foley & Lardner LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Nick Welle has received a 2022 Philanthropic 5 Award from the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County.
The Philanthropic 5 Award, created by United Way’s Emerging Leaders Council, recognizes five community leaders in their 20s, 30s, and 40s that have made extraordinary commitments of leadership, volunteerism, mentoring, and philanthropy to Greater Milwaukee’s and Waukesha’s nonprofit community.
Welle is chair of Foley’s Health Benefits Practice Group and co-chair of the firm’s Milwaukee Pro Bono Committee. Within the firm and through his community volunteering, Welle dedicates hundreds of hours to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee, managing projects such as winter clothing fundraisers, camp clean-ups, and backpack drives. He also helped start and continues to run the Milwaukee Street Law Legal Diversity Pipeline Program, aimed at teaching high school students from diverse backgrounds about legal professions.
Welle and the other four award winners will be recognized at the annual Philanthropic 5 Awards event on August 10. For more information, click here.
