Foley & Lardner LLP partner Eric Blumrosen is quoted in the S&P Global article, “IRA ‘turbocharged’ carbon capture tax credit, but challenges persist: experts,” discussing the regulatory and capital challenges that remain despite the Inflation Reduction Act’s enhancement of the tax credit for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).
During a panel discussion at Infocast’s CCS/Decarbonization conference on July 25 in Houston, Blumrosen, who chaired the conference and is co-chair of Foley’s Energy Sector, said, “CCUS — carbon management in general — will play a critical role in providing the world with the energy it needs, while at the same time, meaningfully reducing our carbon footprint.”
