Foley & Lardner LLP partner Brian Wheeler commented on the deal landscape and impacts of the Trump administration’s “Liberation Day” announcement of new tariffs in the Pitchbook article, “Dealmakers grapple with fresh uncertainty following Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs.”
The level of uncertainty and effect of these tariffs on market activity is still unknown, but Wheeler said “company valuations will be harder to assess, with prices subject to the projections dealmakers make for interest rates and inflation.”
