Foley Highlighted in The American Lawyer for Enhancing Client Relationships
Foley & Lardner LLP is named as an example of how law firms are building stronger relationships with clients in The American Lawyer article, “These Firms Are Investing — Directly — in Legal Tech Startups.”
The American Lawyer highlighted the firm’s venture capital fund, Foley Ventures, as “empowering” partners to invest in the firm’s clients.
“The mission behind [Foley Ventures] was first and foremost tell our clients that we are really part of their team, we believe in what our clients are doing,” partner Susan Pravda said. “It’s kind of a cliche to say, ‘put your money where your mouth is,’ but that’s exactly what we want to do, so we only invest in clients of Foley & Lardner.”
“We’re looking for a closer relationship,” Pravda added, “a relationship that might allow us to be better advisers to the client.”
