Foley & Lardner LLP partner Scott Ellis spoke to the Houston Chronicle about the growth of data centers in Texas.
Ellis commented on ongoing legislative discussions around data center development in Texas, noting the state legislature’s role in regulating utility providers like PUC and ERCOT.
“This is a marathon,” he added. “A lot of things can change between now and when we get to the final form of what this is going to look like, because there are a lot of interests at stake.”
“The Texas government has to really focus on how they’re going to allocate those expenses,” Ellis concluded.
