Foley Expands New York Platform with Addition of Two Partners
Additions expand Foley’s capabilities in private capital, M&A, commercial litigation, and trade secret disputes
Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that partners Marisa White and Rena Andoh have joined its New York office, continuing the firm’s strategic growth in the market. White joins the Transactions Practice Group, while Andoh joins the Commercial Litigation Practice Group.
“Marisa and Rena are important additions to Foley’s expanding New York platform, bringing complementary strengths in areas of significant client demand,” said Daljit Doogal, chairman and CEO of Foley. “Marisa adds substantial depth to our private capital and M&A capabilities, while Rena’s extensive trial and arbitration experience enhances our ability to handle high-stakes commercial disputes. Their arrivals reflect our continued investment in New York and our commitment to building strong teams across practices and sectors to serve the evolving needs of our clients.”
White, who joins from Baker Botts, advises public and private companies, private equity sponsors, and their portfolio companies on domestic and cross-border transactions, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, and other strategic investments. She represents clients across high-growth sectors, including private capital, technology, health care, life sciences, and aerospace and defense.
“Foley’s leadership in middle-market M&A and private equity, combined with its collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach, made the firm the ideal platform for my practice,” said White. “The depth of talent across the firm creates distinct opportunities to support clients on their most complex transactions. I am thrilled to join the team and contribute to its momentum in New York.”
Andoh, who joins from Benesch, represents clients in complex commercial and trade secret disputes before state and federal courts and in domestic and international arbitrations. She has extensive first-chair trial experience in matters involving intellectual property, restrictive covenants, employment issues, and other business litigation. Her practice also includes advising on internal and government investigations, with clients spanning the technology, health care, financial services, energy, and government contracting sectors.
“I have long admired Foley’s reputation and the exceptional caliber of its litigation bench,” said Andoh. “The firm’s national reach and deep sector experience are critical assets for clients navigating high-stakes commercial disputes and complex investigations. I look forward to collaborating with colleagues throughout the firm to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients.”
“The addition of Marisa and Rena builds on our strong foundation in New York, following the recent arrival of transactions partner Heather Miles,” said Anne Sekel, managing partner of Foley’s New York office. “We are proud of our continued success in attracting exceptional talent who recognize the strength of Foley’s platform in New York and beyond.”
With these latest arrivals, Foley has added 10 lateral attorneys to its New York office in 2026.
