Foley & Lardner LLP served as legal adviser to Equity Medical, LLC, a physician-owned, integrated national site network conducting Phase IA–IV clinical research, in its acquisition of a majority stake in Skylight Health Research, Inc.
Skylight is a clinical research site network with locations in Burlington, Massachusetts, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. The acquisition extends Equity Medical’s site network beyond its existing footprint in New York, Kentucky, and Tennessee into New England and the Mountain West. With the addition of Skylight’s two sites, Equity Medical’s platform now spans eight locations across five states and deepens the company’s therapeutic reach into cardiometabolic, rheumatology and other pain-related conditions, and vaccine/infectious disease research.
Skylight’s Burlington and Colorado Springs sites will transition to the Equity Medical brand and continue under their existing clinical leadership, with Skylight’s investigators and research staff supporting ongoing and future studies for the combined network.
