Tam werkt op de afdeling Geschillenbeslechting en maakt deel uit van de Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Voordat hij bij Foley kwam werken, liep hij stage bij de eerbiedwaardige Otis D. Wright II voor de Amerikaanse districtsrechtbank: Central District of California. In deze functie stelde hij verschillende gerechtelijke bevelen samen en deed hij onderzoek naar diverse gebieden van staats- en federale wetgeving.

While in law school, Tam gained experience with the Boston College Law School Immigration Clinic. As a student practitioner, he secured victories for clients seeking relief from removal proceedings and pursuing asylum claims. He also served as the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Chair for the Boston College Law Review. Prior to law school, Tam worked as a family law advocate in the Jean Crowe Advocacy Center of the City of Nashville’s Office of Family Safety. Tam began his career at Foley as a summer associate in 2022.
