Alexa B. Goldstein

Associate

Alexa Goldstein is a litigation associate in the Tampa office of Foley & Lardner.  She is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Labor & Employment Practice Groups.

Alexa’s practice focuses on internal investigations and complex commercial litigation. She has advised clients across a variety of industries—including healthcare, real estate, manufacturing and distribution, and professional services firms—on highly confidential matters from cases of insider threats to breaches of non-solicitation, non-compete, and confidentiality agreements.

Alexa also regularly advises clients on employment matters, including evaluating their policies, practices, and internal controls, to ensure compliance with both state and federal laws and regulations.

Additionally, Alexa has extensive experience handling complex horizontal and vertical construction disputes between numerous parties, often defending and asserting claims on behalf of her clients simultaneously. Her representation of developers and general contractors also extends to contract disputes, community turnover financial disputes, and any other litigation matters or concerns.

Regardless of the matter type, Alexa’s focus is always on the best outcome for her client, not just “winning”. Accordingly, she considers not only the legal aspects, but also the client’s business objectives, in each individual situation.

Prior to joining Foley, Alexa worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable David Briones, U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Texas and for the Honorable Marcia Morales Howard, U.S. District Judge for the Middle District of Florida. She was also selected as the Commencement Student Speaker for the University of Florida Levin College of Law Class of 2022.

In addition to her legal experience, Alexa served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy, and later the Navy Reserves, for nine years. She is a native Floridian who enjoys spending time on the water with her two daughters.
