Alexandra “Alex” Jernigan focuses her practice on providing strategic legal counsel to businesses, from budding start-ups to Fortune 100 companies and everything in between, helping them navigate and resolve complex legal disputes favorably. She has successfully represented clients in a range of litigation matters, including claims involving contract disputes, fraud, fiduciary duties, trade secrets, and alleged California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act (Proposition 65) violations. Alex is experienced in managing cases at virtually every stage of litigation, including discovery, drafting and arguing motions, and trial.
Prior to joining Foley, Alex served as judicial extern for the Honorable Julia W. Brand and the Honorable Sandra R. Klein of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. She also worked as a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of a national law firm. Before attending law school, Alex worked as an investor relations analyst for a national, full-service asset management company.
