Sarah E. Wilson is a patent agent with Foley & Lardner LLP. Sarah is based in the firm’s Detroit office, where she is a member of the firm’s Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies Practice Group (METPG) and has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in various fields of technology including plumbing devices, electric vehicles, medical devices, automotive seating devices, and banking systems.

Prior to joining Foley, Sarah was a manufacturing engineering intern for Schlumberger in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she implemented various Lean 6S principles to several manufacturing areas. Sarah was also a product engineering intern for Adient in Plymouth, Michigan, where she prepared Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) documentation incorporating Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and redesigned the next generation Cadillac ATS/CTS automotive interior seat ISOFIX bezel, which received an award for “Best Business Impact.”

Sarah also has previous technical leadership experience at the University of Michigan as an Instructor’s Aide for various design and manufacturing courses within the College of Engineering.
