Dr. Rachel Utterback is a patent agent with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the Chemical, Biotech & Pharmaceutical Practice Group. Rachel has experience with preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications across a variety of technology areas, including small molecule pharmaceuticals, antibody therapeutics, mRNA technologies, chemical sensors, polymer materials, coatings, battery materials, catalytic materials, as well as hair and skin care products.

Prior to joining Foley, Rachel worked as a Science Advisor for a boutique IP law firm. Her doctorate focus was on the design, synthesis, and biological characterization of pro-chelators to target the iron metabolism of cancer.
