William J. Ulrich

William (Will) Ulrich is an Associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation practice of Foley & Lardner and is based in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Will’s practice focuses on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including utility and design patents, trademarks, trade dress, and trade secrets. His work also includes counterfeit enforcement actions on major e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and eBay, where he has successfully achieved the removal of many infringing products. Will has assisted clients across diverse technological fields in federal district court, including consumer products, medical devices, and security software. He has also contributed to inter partes review (IPR) matters involving technologies relating to mechanical systems for compact machinery.
Will received his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School where he served as Executive Editor of the Notre Dame Journal on Emerging Technologies. During law school, Will served as a legal intern for an Indiana county prosecutor’s office. He earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from St. Norbert College.
Will is admitted to the Wisconsin Bar and is also admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
