Earlier in his career, Hugh worked as a law clerk at a nationally ranked law firm, drafting memoranda on deferred compensation, cancellation of debt taxation, and parachute payments. He also supported real estate and M&A transactions and assisted litigation teams. Previously, Hugh was also a legal extern at Deere & Company. He began his legal journey as a legal intern at GreenState Credit Union, focusing on real estate, compliance, and bankruptcy law.
As a law student, Hugh held leadership roles as vice president of the Tax Law Society, administrative director of the Moot Court Board, and co-president of the Student Bar Association. He also served as a contributing editor for the Journal of Corporation Law.
