Foley attorneys also represent racially diverse individuals who own small businesses through its partnership with Black Connect, a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating the racial wealth gap facing African Americans. Foley’s work with this organization has allowed it to assist minority owned businesses with a variety of work, such as transactional, marketing, and other corporate work.

Foley attorneys assisted a local black entrepreneur facing difficulties due to COVID-19, in negotiating loan terms and settling outstanding lease amounts owed to the property owner.

Invest Detroit

Foley has collaborated with Invest Detroit on several large funds that make strategic investments in Detroit neighborhoods and businesses, with a focus on minority entrepreneurs.

Black Connect

Foley routinely provides members of Black Connect with pro bono services through its Small Business Legal Services Program.


Foley is assisting in the formation of the legal entity of a minority-owned digital health and dermatology platform.


Foley assisted in the drafting of influencer agreements and a privacy policy for a small minority owned business.
