Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Laura Ganoza is quoted in the Corporate Counsel article, “From McDonald’s to Walmart, Companies of All Stripes Race to File NFT Trademarks,” discussing how a wide range of brands are filing NFT-related trademarks despite the recent downturn in trading volume.
Ganoza noted the potential of NFTs to engage with young consumers makes them a ripe place for brand infringement, and cited the recent lawsuits involving Nike and Hermès as examples.
