When running a business, regardless of its size or maturity, the highest priorities often include growing revenue and profitability. But in a world where most information — employee data, customer data, patient data, corporate financial data — is electronic and increasingly regulated, how do you manage compliance and business needs? How do you design products and services to enhance your clients’ compliance — and thus your own sales?
Since the FTC and the Massachusetts Attorney General have made privacy and security rules a priority, every company needs to understand the rules in order to best manage the risk. While there is no single right way to address these myriad rules, you will be in a better position if you look at these requirements collectively so that any steps you take address multiple rules.
