Daniel Farris Featured in Law.com Highlighting His Move to Foley
Foley & Lardner LLP partner Daniel Farris was featured in Law.com’s “How I Made My Mark as a Lateral” series, reflecting on his move to Foley and the firm’s integrated approach to client service.
Farris pointed to the firm’s combination of Energy & Infrastructure and Innovative Technology capabilities as a key differentiator, stating that “data centers are at the middle of this junction,” which puts Foley in a “unique and ideal position to counsel clients on both the legal and technical aspects of matters.”
Highlighting the firm’s multidisciplinary capabilities, Farris emphasized its “collaborative culture and integrated approach to client service.” He underscored that “data center clients need a ‘one-stop shop’ to help with anything from permitting issues to power procurement to financing and tax, and Foley provides that.”
On Farris’ transition to the firm, he credited the lateral programs “structured approach with coordination across firm leadership, sectors, practice groups, marketing and business development, professional development” which enabled him to make “meaningful introductions quickly and easily integrate into existing workflows as well as set up new lines of work.”
Through the lateral integration program, sector town halls, practice group meetings, and conversations with colleagues, Farris said he “was able to get a handle on Foley’s full platform and offerings quickly,” helping guide the team’s development in alignment with the firm’s broader objectives.
Farris concluded that the firm is also “quick to innovate and adopt technology, which is important to my clients.”
