Foley & Lardner LLP Thomas Ferrante is quoted in the Modern Healthcare article, “Remote patient monitoring poised to grow if reimbursement remains,” discussing the importance of reimbursement for the robustness of remote patient monitoring services.
On May 11, when the public health emergency ends, so too will the temporary flexibilities around remote patient monitoring that made it more cost effective for providers to implement remote services.
Ferrante explained that this will “put remote patient monitoring companies in a tight spot” and “force them to start discharging patients and living with the potential consequences of falling patient adherence rates.”
