Tantleff Discusses China’s New Cybersecurity Law

Partner Aaron Tantleff is quoted in a Legaltech News article, “China’s Cybersecurity Law Isn’t Just About Cybersecurity,” about the nation’s recently enacted cybersecurity law, which not only regulates data security, but online speech and behavior that poses a threat to the Chinese government.

The law’s vague language has created some ambiguities about what types of businesses are covered. But Tantleff said that like any large regulation, it will be up to the regulators to fill in the details and offer clarity on the “ambiguity around how companies will be classified.”
