Husisian Quoted on U.S. Trade Regulations under Trump

Partner Greg Husisian was quoted in a CNBC article, “To Get Tough on China, Trump May Throw Out the Trade Rulebook,” covering Trump’s nomination of Robert Lighthizer as U.S. trade representative, and the potential outcomes as they relate to the WTO if Lighthizer is elected as such.

Husisian commented on the topic, saying “…you’re setting up both a philosophical and a practical way in which the U.S. government [is going] to renegotiate trade agreements both with and without WTO.” He continued by explaining that projected next steps in trade regulation will be “a continuation of the steel trade wars and expansion of that to cover more products.”
