Daily Business Review
Partner Irwin Raij discussed Foley’s representation of Guggenheim Baseball Management in its purchase of the Los Angeles Dodgers for a record-setting $2.15 billion. Raij, who led the team of Foley attorneys that assisted Guggenheim Baseball Management in the acquisition, described the deal as a time and labor intensive transaction that was finalized with support from Guggenheim’s infrastructure and Foley attorneys from around the country. The firm’s involvement in this deal follows on the heels of its successful representation of Rangers Baseball Express LLC in its acquisition of the Texas Rangers, and the Ricketts family in its acquisition of the Chicago Cubs.
