Foley Partners Mary K. Braza and Kevin Schulz were quoted in an article that appeared in The Am Law Daily on September 8, 2010 titled “Foley Lawyers Talk About Rangers Deal, ‘Noogie’ Anniversary.” Braza and Schulz, along with Foley Partners Irwin Raij and Patrick Quick, led a team of more than 35 attorneys from eight different Foley offices in the successful representation of a group headed by Chuck Greenberg and Nolan Ryan in its purchase of the Texas Rangers. The team of Foley attorneys provided expertise in 21 different practice areas. Braza and Schulz state that although the deal began as a simple bidding process and ultimately developed into a complex bankruptcy transaction, they would welcome a similar challenge in the future.
