Kelly Boyd is Special Counsel in Foley’s San Francisco office and a member of the firm’s Business Law Department, and Transactions Practice Group. After over a decade on the business side, Kelly has returned to the legal profession bringing a wealth of experience, unique perspective, and deep insights into the field of business transactions.

Kelly primarily focuses her practice representing emerging growth companies, entrepreneurs, and investors in the areas of corporate, securities and M&A. Kelly’s experience spans the entire corporate life cycle, from formation to exit, including pre-incorporation and incorporation matters, corporate governance, securities matters, representing buyers and sellers in both domestic and international mergers, IPOs, and various other corporate events. Kelly works with companies of all sizes, ranging from single founders to companies valued in excess of $1 billion in a broad range of industries.

Kelly has a reputation for providing strategic and tailored legal solutions to businesses of all sizes, clients appreciate her ability to break down complex legal concepts allowing them to make informed decisions that align with their business goals. Having built and run a startup and having run strategic planning for a large publicly traded company herself, Kelly understands business concerns inherently.
