Of Counsel Mark Neuberger is quoted in a Bloomberg Law article, “Law360 Workers Get Union Cash in Push for Contract,” about the NewsGuild of New York agreeing to spend $250,000 to support labor contract negotiations with Law360 staffers, who joined the union in 2016 but have yet to agree on a contract.
Neuberger said the request for monetary support makes sense if the union is seeking to “rally the troops,” though the tactic is unusual. The money “could maybe be used differently, or the message could get out a lot cheaper and quicker, through things like email and social media,” he said.
