The legal services provided by attorneys in our Milwaukee office are national in scope and reflect the firm's strength in many areas, including our industry teams.

Manufacturing: Our Milwaukee attorneys have been trusted advisors to leading U.S. manufacturers since the first industrial revolution — it is an industry we are proud to know well. And as our clients move into the future of manufacturing, we are working shoulder to shoulder with them to focus on advanced manufacturing issues such as continuous process improvement; customer-focused innovation; human capital acquisition, development, and retention; enterprise-wide supply and distribution chain management and collaboration; sustainability; global engagement; reshoring; facilities siting, reconfiguration, and management; foreign direct investment; strategic acquisitions and divestitures; government and public affairs; next-generation technologies; and Big Data, as well as traditional areas such as corporate, labor, tax, and IP. We take a holistic approach to the industry, working closely with colleagues from all practices, industry teams, and offices across the firm to deliver comprehensive solutions that help you achieve your business goals.

Business Law: Our corporate clients view our attorneys as trusted business counselors, resulting in a broad business law practice that includes areas such as corporate securities, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and commercial matters as well as more specialized fields like project and infrastructure finance activity. Because we strongly believe it is part of Foley's calling to enhance Milwaukee's business climate, we also have become a key strategist in helping stimulate new business identification and growth in the metropolitan Milwaukee area.

Litigation: Our Litigation Department is one of the most comprehensive in Wisconsin. In particular, our Litigation attorneys are broadly experienced in the areas of antitrust, securities, product distribution and product liability, IP, employment, and environmental litigation.

Public Finance: The Public Finance attorneys in our Milwaukee office are nationally recognized bond attorneys and have participated in structuring many of the largest financings in Wisconsin.

Our attorneys have been actively involved in industries such as manufacturing, retail, mining, health services, environmental services, real estate, energy, and financial services. Accessing capital markets and successfully structuring and completing merger and acquisition transactions remain the lifeblood of many public and private companies — which is why our Transactional & Securities Practice is an essential resource for organizations worldwide in need of innovative legal and business counsel. We provide insightful legal advice on vital issues, including all aspects of merger and acquisition transactions, securities matters, corporate counseling, and other transactional and securities issues. Our attorneys also provide a broad range of services and solutions to other participants in the financial markets.

Intellectual Property: Foley has combined the depth of an IP boutique with the breadth of a general practice firm to provide the legal package needed to effectively and cost-efficiently manage IP assets. Today, IP issues touch every aspect of business, and we have extended our broad menu of IP services to include licensing, litigation, regulatory affairs, and general business counseling. Recognizing the need for IP representation in all types of industries and businesses, Foley has recruited attorneys experienced in fields ranging from biotechnology to nanotechnology. We also represent clients regarding trademark and copyright matters, helping to secure exclusive rights in marketing tools such as trademarks and service marks, exploit and enforce such important rights, and avoid liability for infringing the IP rights of others.
