Nationally Recognized M&A Attorney Brings Extensive Experience in Energy, Telecommunications, Technology and Related Industries.
Foley announced today that John J. Klusaritz has joined the firm as a partner in the Washington, D.C. office, working with the Transactional & Securities Practice Group and Energy Industry Team. Prior to joining Foley, Klusaritz was a partner at Bingham McCutchen.
Serving as general corporate counsel for clients in the energy, telecommunications, technology and related industries, Klusaritz focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, equity and debt financings, and complex commercial transactions. Klusaritz also works closely with the investment banks, private equity funds and other financial institutions involved in financing and merger transactions in these industries.

Active in the energy industry, John has represented financial institutions, private equity funds, electric utilities, gas pipeline companies, energy and infrastructure developers, and regional transmission organizations in a variety of transactions related to transmission, conventional power generation, renewable energy, hydro-electric, coal gasification, district energy, and local gas distribution and pipelines.
Klusaritz has also represented companies operating in several sectors of the communications and technology industries, including domestic and international local telephone, long distance, voice over Internet, wireless carriers and service providers, equipment manufacturers and developers of various types of technology related to the foregoing. This includes companies that transact primarily with agencies of the Federal government including the Department of Defense, National Security Agency and Transportation Security Administration.
