Partner Jesse Panuccio was quoted in a SHRM article, “Presidential Election Will Decide Fate of Overtime Rule,” on August 23, 2016. The article discussed how the presidential election will determine whether the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime rule will remain intact. Panuccio outlined concerns for small-businesses, including how raising workers’ salaries to meet the exempt threshold or paying nonexempt workers overtime is expensive and how the one-size-fits-all rule may not account for regional or industry variations.
