Oil and Gas Investor
Foley & Lardner LLP Public Affairs Director William Ball recently published an opinion piece titled “The Good, The Bad, The Climate Bill” for Hart Energy’s Oil and Gas Investor Magazine, discussing the impact that the Inflation Reduction Act will have on the oil and gas sector.
“As expected, the energy provisions within this proposal lean heavily toward credits and rebates for research, development and installation of renewable energy technologies and carbon capture projects, providing incentives to move away from fossil fuel energy consumption. While the new legislation may seem like a setback for the energy industry, there are major benefits and drawbacks for oil and gas decision makers to consider,” Ball writes.
