Foley Appoints Kimberly Klinsport as Los Angeles Office Managing Partner
Foley & Lardner LLP is pleased to announce that Kimberly Klinsport has been named managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office, effective March 1, 2023. Klinsport also serves as litigation chair for the Los Angeles and San Diego offices and co-chair of the Cybersecurity and Privacy area of focus within Foley’s Innovative Technology Sector.
Klinsport succeeds partner Jeffery Atkin, who has held the position in Los Angeles since 2016. In addition to his active practice, Atkin will continue to serve as a member of Foley’s Management Committee and co-chair of the firm’s Energy Sector.

Klinsport is an experienced litigator whose practice centers on disputes relating to contract termination and performance across various industries, including food and beverage, health care, insurance, manufacturing, and technology. Klinsport’s practice in these areas mainly focuses on fraud, payment disputes, and the scope of fiduciary duties. She also regularly counsels companies litigating copyright, trademark, and licensing disputes.
Klinsport is an active member of her community and committed to providing pro bono legal services. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) and previously served as the executive board member of the LAFLA Associates Advisory Board. Klinsport earned her JD from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and her BA from the University of Southern California.
