Gjina Lucaj and Vanessa Miller Named 2024 Notable Women in Law by Crain’s Detroit
Foley & Lardner LLP partners Gjina Lucaj and Vanessa Miller have been named among the 2024 Notable Women in Law by Crain’s Detroit Business.
Honorees were selected for their career accomplishments, track records of success, and impact on the community and profession.
Lucaj is a solutions-driven corporate lawyer who understands clients’ business objectives and guides clients through significant deals in a way that meets their strategic objectives. A trusted advisor, she concentrates her practice on domestic and international strategic and private equity transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing, and public and private debt and equity offerings. Lucaj serves private equity-funded clients, public companies, and privately held businesses in various industries such as aerospace, manufacturing, information technology, industrial and professional service, consumer products, retail, food, and distribution, with a focus on the middle market.
Miller is a litigator and chair of Foley’s Automotive Team – Manufacturing Sector, as well as a member of the firm’s Manufacturing Sector advisory committee. Her practice focuses on a wide array of supply chain disputes, including breach of contract and warranty claims, automotive supply chain issues and maintaining continuity of supply, defending manufacturers against class actions, trade secret misappropriation claims, and business torts. She has successfully managed, litigated, and tried cases in state and federal courts, as well as handled appellate proceedings. Miller also has significant experience handling complex international arbitrations in various venues, representing clients in commercial mediations, and counseling clients on various commercial contracts, supply chain agreements, supply chain shortages, and related negotiations.
