Foley Attorneys Honored with Houston Community Leadership Awards
Foley & Lardner LLP partners Scott Ellis and Katherine Harrington are recipients of Houston Business Journal‘s inaugural Community Leadership Awards for leading meaningful change in the community.
Ellis is recognized in the Inclusive Leadership category, which celebrates individuals committed to inclusivity and who have championed advancement, expanded opportunity, and fostered a more dynamic and equitable workplace or community. As managing partner of Foley’s Houston office, Ellis continually demonstrates his commitment to bettering both the legal profession and his Houston community. His leadership extends to the Houston Bar Association and nationally to the American Bar Association, where he served on the ABA’s Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession. He is currently a member of the ABA’s Council for Diversity in the Educational Pipeline.
Harrington is honored in the Community Impact category, which recognizes those whose initiatives have significantly improved lives through civic leadership, philanthropy, or purpose-driven engagement. She is a previous co-chair of the Houston Young Lawyers Association and trustee of the Houston Association of Women Attorneys Foundation. Beyond her legal career, Harrington sits on the board of directors for Grace Place, supporting LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
Honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony on April 8, 2026, in Houston.
