Foley Advises Apricus Generation on Launch of HK Power, a New Distributed Energy Platform
Foley & Lardner LLP advised Apricus Generation in connection with the launch and capitalization of HK Power, a newly formed distributed energy developer focused on acquiring and developing large distributed generation-scale solar, solar-plus-storage, and standalone storage projects across the United States.
HK Power was founded by industry veterans Josh Hotvet and Omar Khaleel and will operate as a platform company within Apricus Generation, a strategic holding platform for independently managed distributed energy businesses. The company is focused on acquiring early-stage projects with strong fundamentals and advancing them through development to ready-to-build, with an emphasis on disciplined underwriting and execution.
Apricus Generation provides capital, transaction structuring, and strategic execution support to its portfolio companies while maintaining their operational independence. Through its platform model, Apricus partners with experienced management teams to build and scale distributed energy businesses.
Foley’s energy finance team was led by partner Lisa Conmy with support from partner John Dunlap and associate Asmara Montgomery.
