Foley Advises Iron Path Capital in Close of Oversubscribed $450 Million Fund II
Foley & Lardner LLP served as legal advisor to Iron Path Capital, an operationally focused private equity firm investing in the specialty industrials and health care sectors, in the formation and closing of Iron Path Capital Fund II.
Iron Path Capital Fund II was oversubscribed and exceeded its hard cap, completing its raise of $450 million in total commitments within five months amid strong support from existing and new limited partners.
Iron Path intends to continue investing in lower middle market companies within specialty chemicals and materials, engineered products and solutions, and technical services that sell into highly regulated end markets. With the operational resources of its Full Immersion Operations team (“FIOps”), Iron Path partners closely with management teams to drive transformational growth at its portfolio companies.
Foley’s team was led by Fund Formation & Investment Management (FFIM) partner Stephen Meli with support from partners John Stern (Tax), Matthew An (Fund Finance), FFIM senior counsels Christopher Ullman and Nolan Binney and associates Michael Hayes, James McGrath, and Max Schmidt, and paralegal Cecilia Hanlin.
