Jonathan (Jonny) Jordan collaborates with entities in the manufacturing and life sciences sectors to handle various aspects of patent prosecution in his role as a patent agent in the Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies Practice.

Jonny is responsible for drafting utility and design patent applications for a wide range of inventions related to the mechanical, electrical, and medical fields. He uses his engineering experience to assist with U.S. and foreign patent prosecution in several areas, including outdoor power equipment, commercial and military vehicles, medical devices, optical diagnostics, and 3D printing.

Before joining Foley, Jonny worked as an engineer at a global mining and construction company. In that role, he focused on engine performance and calibration, specifically for dual-fuel diesel engines utilized in the oil and gas industry. His experience also includes emissions and after-treatment product development. During college, he co-authored three research papers and conducted research on developing a novel optical diagnostic for measuring temperature and velocity in a variety of combustion applications.
