Khadijat Kokumo brings a deep interest in health care to her role in helping innovators bring their inventions to life and protect their technological advances.

While pursuing her degree in biomedical engineering and computer science, Khadijat was a process improvement intern with a Chicago-based integrated health system. Her contributions included using various Lean A3 problem-solving methodologies to suggest ways to improve operating room utilization in the hospitals’ Surgery Department. In addition, her internship with a renowned private research university gave her valuable skills in ultrasonic imaging and coherence-based imaging in a project to determine which mode a clinician should use when assessing a breast mass.
