Mark Mallery is a partner and business lawyer who advises founders, management teams, and private capital investors to navigate growth, manage risk, and achieve their strategic goals. He takes emerging companies from “garage to global,” handling entity structuring, general corporate and equity matters, and day-to-day legal needs. He guides clients through venture and growth financings at every stage, as well as mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings, including transactions valued at up to $1 billion.

Regularly representing clients on either side of financing and acquisition transactions, Mark helps clients anticipate what lies ahead, including preparing companies from day one for future rounds and an eventual exit. He approaches legal counsel with an operator’s perspective, applying his market experience to advance clients’ objectives. Mark also leverages Foley’s extensive platform to provide integrated counsel. 

Mark previously practiced in Silicon Valley and Austin, Texas. Before becoming a lawyer, he was director of operations at StartX, the business accelerator for Stanford entrepreneurs, and a staff researcher at the U.C. Berkeley Transportation Sustainability Research Center.
