James (Jim) McKenna is Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is responsible for advancing the firm’s technology strategy and operations, and aligning technology investments with business objectives.

With more than 25 years of law firm technology leadership experience, Jim has overseen large-scale technology operations, cloud transformation programs, information security initiatives, and AI and innovation efforts, including at two other AmLaw 100 law firms.

A recognized leader in legal technology, Jim is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), author of Lessons in Leadership (ILTA, 2025), and was a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer plus Internet (MCSE+Internet). He is also a frequent contributor to legal technology publications and speaker at industry events and conferences.
