Foley Hires James McKenna as Chief Information Officer
Veteran law firm technology leader brings deep experience to help advance the firm’s technology initiatives
Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that James “Jim” McKenna has joined the firm as Chief Information Officer (CIO). McKenna brings more than 25 years of experience driving technology strategy and operations at leading law firms with significant background in emerging technologies, enterprise infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, application development, and information governance.
Based in Foley’s San Francisco office, McKenna will work closely with firm leadership, attorneys, and business professionals to increase efficiencies and enhance the firm’s technology platforms and strategic priorities.

McKenna most recently served as CIO at Fenwick & West LLP for eight years, where he led global IT operations. Before joining Fenwick, McKenna spent 17 years at Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he managed global infrastructure operations and helped drive large-scale modernization initiatives.
