Carmen Rosa Rida works in our Business Law department as a member of the firm’s Transactions Practice Group and is based in the Detroit office. Prior to joining Foley, Carmen held a summer associate position at a law firm where she supported the labor and employment and immigration teams through legal research and drafting. She also previously worked as a legal assistant where she prepared immigration petitions and waivers.

Carmen began at Foley as a summer associate in 2024. Her work focused on mergers and acquisitions.

During law school, Carmen has served as Executive Managing Editor of the Journal of International and Comparative Law, a Lead Admissions Ambassador, and a Law Student Representative for the National Immigrant Justice Center representing asylum seekers in deportation proceedings. She was also selected as a Hamburg Honors Scholar in International Business Law at Bucerius Law School.
