Charles Throckmorton represents companies and individuals in complex litigation matters in state and federal courts around the country. He also has significant arbitration experience before the AAA and JAMS. His experience covers a wide range of issues, including cryptocurrency disputes, contract and business disputes, consumer class action defense, real property litigation, and trade secrets matters.
Charles’s consumer litigation experience includes defending claims for violations of state unfair practices acts (e.g., FDUTPA) and other consumer protection statutes. His real property litigation experience encompasses complex property ownership disputes, loan workouts and litigation, and high value commercial landlord-tenant matters. In the cryptocurrency space, Charles has litigated and arbitrated dozens of matters around the country.
Prior to joining Foley, he was a shareholder in the Miami office of a national law firm. Earlier in his career, Charles worked at the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands, monitoring the International Criminal Court for the International Bar Association. A Miami native, he stays active in the community through his work with local non-profit organizations.

- Defended software program manager in four-week federal jury trial involving trade secrets and defamation claims.*
