Allison McKown is an associate and real estate lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Ms. McKown focuses her practice on representing clients in commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions, development, leasing, and commercial lending. She is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice.
Prior to joining Foley, Ms. McKown was an attorney with a notable national law firm in its Tampa office. During this time, she represented financial institutions and borrowers in various areas of commercial lending, including commercial real estate transactions, asset-based lending, and motor vehicle dealership floor plan financing. She assisted in closing numerous multi-million dollar acquisitions and dispositions for office, retail, and warehouse facilities. Ms. McKown has substantial experience in handling various due diligence matters, including conducting title and survey examinations on behalf of buyers, lenders, and sellers, evaluating the legal risks of potential real estate investments, and assisting clients in clearing title matters. She also represented landlords and tenants in connection with commercial real estate leasing for office, retail, and warehouse space. As a law student, Ms. McKown served as a summer associate with the same firm and with Bankers Financial Corporation.
Ms. McKown earned a law degree from University of Florida Levin College of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2014). She holds a master’s degree in real estate (M.S., 2014) from University of Florida Hough Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in finance (B.S., 2011) from University of Florida Warrington College of Business.
