Jeffrey N. Costakos is a retired trial and appellate lawyer with over 30 years’ experience litigating complex patent and intellectual property cases before courts throughout the United States. Jeff was chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice and was a member of the Patent Office Trials Group. He was also a member of the Life Sciences, Medical Device, and Automotive Industry Teams.

Jeff was lead counsel in dozens of patent litigations spanning technologies as diverse as DNA sequencing and micro-arrays, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, encryption, automotive components, computer algorithms, construction technology, sails and sail making, agricultural genetics, printing, plumbing technology, and oil and gas exploration and blending. He argued numerous appeals before the Courts of Appeals for the Federal and Seventh Circuits.
