Foley is pleased to announce that Daljit S. Doogal, managing partner of Foley’s Detroit office, has been recognized by dBusiness as a metro Detroit business leader in its ‘30 in their 30s’ class of 2011. This prestigious class is comprised of area business leaders who are moving their respective companies, industries and communities forward, according to the publication’s award criteria.
Doogal has established himself as a well-respected businessman through his strong leadership, notable industry success and influential community involvement. He has vast experience with cross-border transactions and has demonstrated success in bringing foreign investment into the U.S. from Indian and European companies. Additionally, Doogal has strengthened regional companies in financial distress by advising them through the economic downturn, specifically helping a client grow its revenue by approximately 90 percent year-over-year.
He has also made a significant impact in the Detroit region through his volunteer efforts. Eleven years ago, Doogal recognized the lack of networking opportunities available for entrepreneurs of Indian descent and co-founded the Detroit Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE Detroit), a nonprofit network of professionals dedicated to entrepreneurial advancement. He continues to support the organization as an advisory committee member and leverages TiE Detroit as a venue through which to mentor aspiring entrepreneurs.
